De Wave Group, a global contractor headquartered in Genoa and one of the leading players in cruise and yacht shipbuilding, announces the acquisition of DL SERVICES, a French company with offices in Nantes and Miami, specializing in Marine Galley design and the supply of technical components and onboard spare parts, as well as equipment mapping and library of technical data for predictive maintenance services for catering equipment (Life Cycle System).
With the integration of DL SERVICES, the Group strengthens its Catering Department by expanding its expertise and operational capabilities, further consolidating its position in the maintenance segment and reinforcing its role as an international reference point in the cruise industry.
The transaction was carried out with the support of SIMEST, a company of the CDP Group dedicated to the internationalization of Italian enterprises, through the establishment of a special purpose vehicle, 52% owned by De Wave and 48% by SIMEST, set up to acquire DL SERVICES. SIMEST’s total investment, amounting to €3 million in the form of shareholder financing and a capital increase, also includes resources from Fund 394 (“Venture Capital and Equity Investments Section”), managed in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Strategic and managerial continuity will be ensured through the confirmation of the current management team, which will continue to rely on Daniel Laine and Mathilde Laine Head of the French division, and Anaïs Habbar, Head of the U.S. division. Their leadership has enabled the company to become a well-established player in the sector, with a strong international presence and revenues reaching €11 million in 2025.
Riccardo Pompili, CEO di De Wave Group, CEO of De Wave Group, commented:
“With the acquisition of DL SERVICES, we internalize two strategic areas of expertise: catering area design, including concept development, and library of technical data for maintenance of onboard kitchen equipment, which are now essential to ensuring complete and reliable services for all our partners.
This transaction also allows us to establish direct relationships with a broad network of suppliers and to strengthen our presence across the entire production value chain.
This is not merely a matter of scale, but a value-driven investment that consolidates our leadership and prepares us to face future challenges with an even more distinctive and integrated industrial profile.”
Daniel Laine, CEO of DL SERVICES French Division, added:
“The integration of DL SERVICES into a leading group such as De Wave represents a significant growth opportunity. The complementarity of our expertise and the Group’s global presence will allow us to further enhance our know-how and accelerate expansion in international markets. This integration opens the door to meaningful operational and technological synergies, enabling us to address new challenges with a stronger structure while maintaining strategic and managerial continuity.
Vera Veri, Director of Equity and Participatory Investments at SIMEST, stated:
“With this transaction, SIMEST supports De Wave—already a company strongly positioned in the design and supply of solutions for the naval and cruise sectors—on a path of industrial strengthening, through the integration of specialized expertise in areas that are increasingly strategic to the sector’s evolution. Our involvement, also carried out through public resources managed in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is aimed at supporting a project that enhances innovation, vertical integration, and presence in international markets, further strengthening the Group’s positioning with international clients.”
